Born in Carlsbad, NM on Oct. 13, 1906. Rackley studied at the University of Texas, New Mexico Normal School, Kunstgewerbe Schule in Hamburg, Germany, and with Walter Ufer and George Grosz. By 1947 her married name was Simon and she had settled in Oakland, CA. She died in Lafayette, CA on Nov. 19, 1992. Member: Nat'l Serigraph Society.

Richard Rackus was born in Highland Park, Michigan in 1922. Rackus settled in Los Angeles in 1936. He began his art training at the Chouinard Art Institute and continued in France and Italy. Over the years he has been a sketch artist for motion pictures, art director for Mars Publications, and illustrator for the NASA Space Program.
