Raised in China, Mary Qian is a painter of figurative subjects who basically taught herself to paint from books. She studied science and dentistry in China because it was difficult to enroll in art schools. However, she was able to study art at Brigham Young University in Utah because of the influence of friends of her parents.

Quintana, Carlos
uintana was born in Havana in 1966 and went to art school there. I found that he moved to Madrid, where he currently resides, in 1993. The large canvases with bright washes and splatters of color that he uses belie the darker undercurrent of his figures.
Qureshi, Imran

Imran Qureshi (born 1972, Pakistan) is regarded as one of the most important representatives of Pakistan’s art scene. The artist lives in Lahore, where he teaches at the National College of Art.
