Titanic exhibit will be open Mondays By Matt Campbell (KC Star) The Titanic exhibit at Union Station will be open Mondays through the rest of the summer. Science City and the planetarium at Union Station also will be open Mondays beginning June 18. The exhibit and attractions had previously been closed that day. “Titanic has been so popular and we see a lot of traffic coming to the Crown Center district, thanks to Legoland and Sea Life, so we wanted to make sure our attractions were open for those who are coming to this part of the city,” said Joy Torchia, marketing director for Union Station. Tickets to “Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition” also will be discounted to $5 for Union Station members and $10 for non-members on Monday. Titanic hit its break-even point of 65,000 ticket sales in late May, halfway through its run. The exhibit closes Sept. 3.
