Limited in size to just 30 dealers, this intimate and impeccably designed setting provides fairgoers an elegant and manageable viewing and buying experience. It’s the ideal setting for both art dealers and fairgoers to meet and mingle while experiencing the most dynamic marketplace for important art, ranging from 1950-present.

A Passion for Possession

ArtAspen will ignite visitors’ passion for possession as they meander through the two aisles, discovering rare museum-caliber treasures and exploring new frontiers in contemporary art. The fair serves as an access point for discovery, dialogue and inspiration. Art dealers have the opportunity to visit client’s and prospect’s local residences. Much of the displayed art will find a new home in Aspen, other art works shipped to fairgoers’ second or third homes. All in all, it is the perfect setting for art collectors, dealers, curators, art patrons and philanthropists to come together in a semi-private, world-class, relaxed and art centric environment. It’s all located in the center of town, just three short blocks from popular Wagner Park on West Hyman and First Street, virtually at the base of Aspen’s spectacular Ajax Mountain.

Why Aspen in Summer?

Aspen’s summer population of residents and affluent visitors is now almost on par with its winter density. The weather is perfect for art shipping into and out of the fair without the worries of a winter blizzard. The city has long offered summer residents and visitors the finest level in cultural events ranging from art, design, music, and the culinary arts to educational discourse, fashion, and philanthropy. The city has a vibrant arts oriented community comprised of 25 year around galleries, a much respected museum and a world famous arts cultural center.

The Ideal Weekend for Art Lovers

This chic mountain community is long known for its commitment to the visual arts. The enduring success of ArtAspen reinforces the city’s reputation as an art haven for collecting and art patronage. The fair is scheduled between two of the local art community’s most noted events, assuring that the “big hitters” are in town. ArtAspen is scheduled alongside the Aspen Art Musuem’s ArtCRUSH fund-raiser (about 10 blocks away) which draws international attention – as it hits the social calendars of the jet setting art fair cognoscenti. The following weekend features the Anderson Ranch popular fund-raising art auction. ArtAspen is the ideal event for contemplating world-class art, while attending trendy networking parties, media promotions, and meeting one-on-one with many of the biggest mover-shakers in the art world in America.

The first weekend in August is traditionally one of Aspen’s most populated weekends of the year. What a chance to experience the summer beauty of the Roaring Fork Valley, explore the city’s many cultural offerings such as the Aspen Institute, Aspen Music Festival, Aspen Theater, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, and the Challenge Aspen/Vincent Gill and Amy Grant Golf Classic. Tour the local galleries, attend their openings, and benefit from the grandeur of America’s leading boutique summer art fair.
